The journey to 2025 racing has just commenced!
Welcome back from the break!
We will provide you with three weeks of solid mileage and then start gearing up for the Spring 2025 season.
Our program caters to distances ranging from 800m to 5,000m.
Currently, we are in the second week of the Winter Indoor Racing/Training Program.
During the winter, it is advisable to increase mileage, incorporate hill work, and participate in short races (800m-3k) for weekly speed training.
Today is Monday, January 13,
Engage in a vigorous 45-55 minute hill workout, including 4-8 hill sprints that challenge you, and remember to cool down and stay hydrated.
Start planning for the spring season. Write down your goals on your iPhone, iPad, or a postcard, and review them daily. Success is the result of hard work!
Learn from the experiences of Emil and Alain!
Alain Mimoun finished second to Emil Zatopek several times in regional and Olympic competitions. It was only during their third Olympics together, in the marathon, that Alain emerged victorious! Alain waited for his friend, revealing that his daughter, Olympia, was born just before the race. They were both remarkable individuals. Explore their stories and delve into the history of the sport! Visit https://thepatbutcher.wordpress.com/ for books on each of them! (Also check out the incredible work of one of our finest sports writers ever!)
