Aces C A’ja Wilson is featured in two Google Gemini for Pixel adsGoogle
Last week, Aces C A’ja Wilson appeared in two Google Gemini for Pixel ads showcasing how Google’s AI can be utilized by individuals from diverse backgrounds in their daily lives, as reported by Asa Hiken of AD AGE. In the 90-second hero spot, Wilson takes center stage, while in a 15-second supplementary ad, she seeks nickname suggestions from Gemini while practicing jump shots in the gym. The main focus of both ads is Gemini Live, a feature that enables the bot to engage in detailed conversations with users using a genuine human voice. The ability to engage in conversations is a key goal for tech companies competing in the AI industry. Marketing these features has presented challenges, as AI providers have encountered skepticism from the very audience they are trying to attract. Wilson confessed that she doesn’t have much experience with AI technology, but acknowledged its impressive capability to hold natural-sounding conversations. She stated, “It’s both exciting and daunting to see technology advancing to the point where we can have fluent conversations with it. I’m intrigued by the possibilities it brings.” (AD AGE, 12/2).
