Anyone who doesn’t believe that dogs are basically furry children has never seen a Great Dane snuggle up under the covers with her Eeyore stuffed animal as her mom tucks her into bed.
Such is the heartwarming bedtime scene between the Great Dane, Rue, and her famous mom, WNBA legend Elena Delle Donne. Let’s just say that after watching the video, you’ll wish you were a child again so that you could get tucked into bed like this!
Now, that is a proper doggy bedroom! Notice how there are multiple framed photos of the gorgeous puppers Rue. Take note, dog parents, this is how you decorate your fur baby’s bedroom. And while Rue, being a Great Dane, is clearly not a small dog, she is still clearly and adorable baby at heart.
Just look at how she snuggles with her Eeyore doll -it’s too precious! The look in her eye, you can tell she is tired, but also very comfortable and is ready to snuggle her way off to sleepy town with her beloved stuffed animal.

Naturally, the Internet was all over this. Some people in the comments section, such as Instagram user bwb_bww1410, were so excited to see Rue getting the proper fur baby bedtime treatment when they wrote, “I love it when people do this for their animals!” Instagram user karlienis doubled down on that sentiment when she wrote, “Urghh, this is actually what every dog needs. It has its own bedroom and bed. Even the sheets look like fine thread count. Giving this dog the comfort, love, and support that she needs. Fellow dog parents, take note.”
However, some people, like Instagram user lisaastokes, were taken aback by Elena Delle Donne’s impressive handling of the duvet cover and wanted to know what the WNBA MVP’s trick was for handling such a mighty blanket when she wrote, “I need to understand what just happened with the duvet cover? What have I been missing out on my whole life, LOL?” WNBA champion and Instagram user de11edonne was gracious enough to respond, sharing her secret when she wrote, “Magic! It helps to be 6’5, too, LOL!”

Obviously, if your canine companion spends half the day sleeping, you want to make sure that their rest is as comfortable as possible. To ensure this, it is important to make sure that your dog gets plenty of exercise during the day. It’s also important for a dog to have its own designated sleeping area, like Rue!
