In the 7th Annual Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance, held on June 23, 2024, a 1935 S.S. Ltd. SS1 owned by Eduardo Zavala from St. Petersburg, Florida, was crowned “Best in Show.”
The event, known as the “Jaguar Jamboree,” took place at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia and supported Cool Cars for Kids and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Originally known as S.S. Cars Ltd., Jaguar was later renamed Jaguar Cars Ltd. after World War II. The SS1 model, the company’s first design by founder Sir William Lyons, was created for its aesthetic appeal rather than performance. It was initially owned by Ada Falcon, a tango performer from Argentina, and spent the first 80 years in Buenos Aires.
The event featured various award winners, including the Hagerty Youth Judging, the Car Corral, and the Jaguar Field of Honour. For a complete list of winners, click HERE.
The weekend began with a gala fundraiser benefiting Cool Cars for Kids and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The event included entertainment from the Love 77 Band, auctions led by Jeff Heisy, and generous donations from various individuals and organizations.
Next year’s 8th Annual Philadelphia Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for June 21-22, 2025.
