Oscar Piastri had to skip a season of racing after winning the Formula 2 championship in 2021, but McLaren signed him for Formula 1 and he made a remarkable rookie debut last season. Over the first 14 races of the season, Piastri has been consistent, securing top six starts in qualifying and showing strong race pace.
