2024 Panini Origins WNBA Basketball marks the first mainstream set of the season for the league. Like other products under the brand’s banner, autographs are a focus. So are etherial designs and themes. Here, it also means the first traditional Rookie Cards of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and the rest of the season’s first-year class.
Hobby boxes have one pack of 10 cards. Highlights include three hits, two of which are autographs.
2024 Panini Origins WNBA Checklist Overview
The base set takes place in outer space. The celestial backdrop connects to the theme of “beginnings” that runs throughout much of the checklist. Parallels come in a variety of forms with Gold (/10) and Black (1/1) coming in on the rare end.
Cards also have Swirl versions that, while not numbered, are still tough short prints according to Panini.
Among the signed cards in the product are Universal Autographs. With Caitlin Clark under an exclusive deal with Panini, collectors can expect to find her signature in the product.
Memorabilia cards combine to fall one per hobby box. Jumbo Jerseys is one of the themes. As one might expect, the swatches on these gravitate towards the large side.
Standard inserts are two per hobby box. Among the possibilities are multiple SSP chase sets like Tiger Eyes and Blank Slate. The show-focused Sneaker Spotlight makes its WNBA debut as well.
