Rome, GA – As the marquee individual championship across the Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Junior College levels in the fall, the 2025 ITA Cup is set to get underway this Thursday, October 16th and will continue through Sunday, October 19th at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.
Dating back to 1986, the ITA Cup is one of the most storied tournaments across the Division II, Division III, NAIA, and JUCO levels of play with participants earning their spots in the draws through the ITA Regional Small College Championships in which over 8,000 student-athletes competed across 60 Regional Championships across the country.
Featuring many of the nation’s top players, three No. 1 ranked players at the end of the 2024-25 college tennis season will make their 2024-25 national debut at the ITA Cup. These players include Advik Mareedu (CMS), Santiago Villarruel (Georgia Gwinnett), and Violet Apisah (Keiser) who each have also won the singles title at the ITA Cup in past years.
Many top doubles teams also will be on court in Rome, including the 2024 ITA Cup Division III Women’s Doubles Champions, Eleanor Archer and Caitlin Bui (WashU) who will look to defend their title. Past NCAA Division III Men’s Doubles Champions, Gage Gohl and Tyler Haddorff (Gustavus Adolphus) will also look to make a splash this week as they enter the tournament as the No. 1 seeded doubles team.
