The conference finals are underway in the 2025 NBA playoffs. The Oklahoma City Thunder are off and running in the West finals against the Minnesota Timberwolves, having won Game 2 with ease on Thursday, but the Timberwolves dominated Game 3 Saturday at home in Minnesota for a 143-101 win. The East finals resumed Friday as the Indiana Pacers won their second straight against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. That series shifts to Indianapolis for Game 3 on Sunday.
OKC, the top seed in the Western Conference, is trying to reach its first NBA Finals since 2012. Minnesota is in the conference finals for the second year in a row and is trying to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.
The Pacers are back in the conference finals for the second year in a row after taking out the top-seeded Cavaliers in the second round. They’re facing the Knicks, who eliminated the reigning champion Boston Celtics in Game 6 of their matchup Friday night. The Pacers have not made the NBA Finals since 2000, when they beat the Knicks in the East finals. The Knicks have not won the East since 1999… when they beat the Pacers in the East finals.
