In what could be a sign that her groin injury isn’t too severe, Caitlin Clark is set to take part in the Three-Point Contest as part of the 2025 WNBA All-Star Friday night schedule.

The WNBA officially unveiled the participants in the Three-Point Contest and Skills Challenge, with Clark in the field for the shooting competition.

Clark aggravated a groin injury in the Fever’s win over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday. She sat out Wednesday’s game against the New York Liberty and her status for the All-Star Game was still to be determined, per ESPN’s Alexa Philippou.

Fever head coach Stephanie White did sound optimistic Clark wouldn’t miss a lot of time while speaking to reporters prior to the Liberty game.

This still doesn’t confirm whether or not Clark will play in the All-Star Game on Saturday, but her participation in the Three-Point Contest at least leaves open the possibility she could.

The last two winners of the Three-Point Contest are also in the field: Allisha Gray (2024) and Sabrina Ionescu (2023). They will be joined by Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron and Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum in her first appearance in this event since 2022.

Gray will be pulling double duty on Friday night as one of the five participants in the Skills Challenge. The Atlanta Dream star is also the defending champ in the event. She will look to become the first repeat winner of the Skills Challenge.

Challenging Gray will be the Seattle Storm duo of Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler, Natasha Cloud of the New York Liberty and Courtney Williams of the Minnesota Lynx.

WNBA All-Star Friday night begins at 8 p.m. ET from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
