CARY, N.C. – The 25th-ranked Notre Dame women’s tennis team’s ACC Championship run ended in the quarterfinals as the Irish fell 4-1 to 12th-ranked NC State. Notre Dame is now 20-5 overall and will await its NCAA Tournament fate.
Akari Matsuno, ranked 65th in the ITA rankings, earned the lone Notre Dame point with a nice win over 45th ranked Anna Zyryanova 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.
Selection day is on April 28th at 5:00 p.m. and can be streamed on the NCAA website.
