The Toronto Raptors are bringing in free agent big man Bruno Fernando on a non-guaranteed contract. Fernando was recently released by the Atlanta Hawks and has now signed with the Raptors.
If Fernando makes the opening night roster, his deal is expected to include some guaranteed money.
Last season, Fernando played in 45 games for the Hawks, averaging 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 15.2 minutes per game. The 6-foot-9 center has also had stints with the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets during his five-year NBA career.
