INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark continues to break records in the WNBA.
The rookie guard achieved a new single-season record for assists on Friday night, scoring 18 points in the second half, along with nine assists and eight rebounds in a close 78-74 loss to the Las Vegas Aces.
At just 22 years old, Clark has now made 321 assists in her debut season in the WNBA, surpassing last year’s record of 316 set by Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun.
The Fever (19-19) have two more games in the regular season, facing the Dallas Wings on Sunday and the Washington Mystics on Thursday.
Clark’s impressive averages of 19.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and a league-high 8.4 assists per game highlight her impact in the league.
