NPCs have become a significant aspect of the game in recent Fortnite Chapters. The newer Chapters have introduced specialists among NPCs, offering more valuable assistance compared to the previous hireable NPCs. NPCs have been present in all seasons of Fortnite post Chapter 2. However, their locations change with each new map. Here are all the character locations for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4!

This season features only 16 NPCs, a decrease from the previous season. The trend of decreasing NPCs seems to have reversed slightly this season.
The NPCs in this season are unique, with fewer hireable ones and less overpowered items for sale, except for Gwenpool. This is a departure from previous seasons where Mythic Shotguns were commonly sold.
Specialist NPC Locations
In addition to normal NPCs, there are new specialist NPCs who offer more utility as hired helpers. These specialists offer different functions and can enhance your gameplay significantly. Here are the specialists and their locations:

This season features fewer overall character locations but more specialists. Hireable characters can be especially beneficial in Solos, where the additional teammates can provide assistance with the various items available on the map.
These NPCs now perform specific tasks once hired, and in recent seasons, you can even direct them with your pings. The types of specialists you can encounter include Scouts, Supply Specialists, Heavy Specialists, and Medic Specialists.
