Sean Strickland has recently discussed his ongoing issues with Khalil Rountree Jr., attributing them to past encounters with the individual.
The feud first came to light in March of 2022, following Rountree’s victory over Karl Roberson at UFC Vegas 50. During a tearful post-fight interview, Rountree was mocked by Strickland on social media, particularly on X (formerly known as Twitter).
However, Strickland’s criticism turned hypocritical when he himself broke down in tears during a podcast with Theo Von in 2023. This led to some backlash from fans who hadn’t forgotten Strickland’s comments about Rountree.

Rountree reportedly attempted to demonstrate an MMA move on a woman who then joked about se*ual harassment. This joke incited a defensive response from Rountree, infuriating Strickland and solidifying his negative perception of him.
