Undefeated WBA featherweight champion Nick Ball (21-0-1, 12 KOs) secured a victory over challenger Ronny Rios (34-5, 17 KOs) in the tenth round at the M&S Bank Arena in Ball’s hometown of Liverpool, England. Ball, showing aggression from the start, knocked down Rios in the third round and continued to dominate the fight. Despite Rios putting up a tough fight and causing Ball’s nose to bleed, Ball’s relentless assault did not waver. The match ended in favor of Ball when he dropped Rios again in the tenth round.
