The Seattle Seahawks have faced numerous injuries to the offensive line, especially at right tackle, over the last two seasons.
Abe Lucas, once seen as the future of the position, is currently on the physically unable to perform list due to offseason surgery. Meanwhile, backup George Fant is on injured reserve recovering from a knee injury sustained in Week 1. With Stone Forsythe now filling in at the position, concerns arise about his availability for the Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons based on the Wednesday injury report.
Forsythe and right guard Anthony Bradford missed practice due to hand and toe injuries respectively. With two starting offensive linemen injured and two top cornerbacks – Riq Woolen and Tre Brown – also sidelined with ankle issues, the depth in these positions for Seattle is a concern. Only three healthy cornerbacks – Devon Witherspoon, Nehemiah Pritchett, and Dee Williams – practiced on Wednesday.
The injury reports are subject to change as the week progresses, but the offensive line and cornerback positions will need close monitoring in the upcoming days.
