Fenerbahçe Opet, the two-time defending EuroLeague Women champion, has started the 2024-25 season strong with a win over Villeneuve-d’Ascq LM, despite a roster makeover.
The team added international talent like Gabby Williams, Julie Allemand, Ariel Atkins, and Tina Charles, along with EuroLeague Women legend Emma Meesseman, forming a versatile and skilled lineup that was ranked No. 1 overall by FIBA.com.
In Week 1, Charles and Meesseman combined for 38 points, while Žabiny Brno and Beretta Famila Schio put up impressive performances, scoring 92 points each.
Week 2 of EuroLeague Women group play will feature exciting matchups, including Brno facing off against ÇBK Mersin and Fenerbahçe Opet taking on Casademont Zaragoza.
