It’s a rare occurrence, but not impossible. Some games are able to launch earlier than originally planned, and this is the case with the Battlefield rival, Delta Force.
Delta Force was able to capture the attention of many players during the Steam Next Fest and is poised to make a big impact in the shooter market. The good news for fans is that the early access release, initially set for 2025, has been moved up to December of this year.
Same content – different name
Delta Force combines elements of Battlefield with Escape from Tarkov, creating a tactical shooter that is generating excitement even before its release. This free-to-play title has received positive feedback so far.
For those who have yet to try Delta Force, they won’t have to wait much longer. Developer Tim Jade has announced that the early access version of Delta Force will be available on Steam and Epic on December 5, 2024.
While development progress and community feedback have led to the earlier release, this only applies to PC players. The versions for Playstation, Xbox, and Mobile are still on track for release next year.
The beta label remains: Although the version releasing in December is the planned early access build, it will be named Global Open Beta. However, this will not impact the content, with regular updates, Battle Passes, and paid cosmetic items without pay-to-win tactics.
Your progress is reset: Players who have already played Delta Force should note that only rewards tied to their account will carry over at the start of Early Access. Other progress will be reset. The first season, Genesis, will begin on the first day of Early Access, introducing new maps, vehicles, weapons, and more.
