After a successful run with Caitlin Clark leading the team, the Iowa Hawkeyes are now facing a new era with a new head coach, a new point guard, and tempered expectations. Clark left as the NCAA Division I overall scoring leader, with the team making it to two consecutive national championship games and becoming a must-watch team in women’s basketball. Despite Clark’s departure, the team is ready to move forward under Coach Jan Jensen’s leadership. Jensen believes that this season’s team should not be compared to the past successes. While the Hawkeyes were consistently ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll last season, they are currently just one spot away from the preseason Top 25 rankings.
