Daniel Cormier fires back at Rinat Fakhretdinov’s harsh comments
Cormier addressed Fakhretdinov’s remarks during a recent Q+A session before UFC Edmonton.
“I have no idea what this guy was saying,” Cormier responded. “He lost, plain and simple. No matter how much he complains, it’s obvious that he lost the fight. He just needs to accept it and stop talking nonsense…
“Honestly, he’s just being foolish. He should accept the defeat gracefully. He was lucky to win. Just take it and move on until your next fight!”
At this time, Fakhretdinov has not replied to Cormier’s comments.
Fakhretdinov maintains an undefeated record in the UFC with his win at UFC 308. Prior to UFC 308, he also defeated Bryan Battle, Kevin Lee, and Nicolas Dalby.
Cormier will be part of the commentary team for this weekend’s UFC Fight Night: Edmonton, featuring a flyweight main event between Brandon Moreno and Amir Albazi.
