Some notes
Head coach Andy Reid revealed unfortunate news: rookie tight end Jared Wiley tore his ACL during Friday’s workout. He is obviously out for Monday’s game — and the foreseeable future.
Reid added that tight end Peyton Hendershot would be called up to replace Wiley. Hendershot logged over 100 special teams snaps for the Dallas Cowboys over eight games in 2023.
Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) is also out for the game, marking his second straight absence.
After missing the initial practice on Thursday, cornerback Nazeeh Johnson (concussion) returned to practice as a limited participant on Friday and Saturday. While he is trending in the right direction, he’s now officially listed as out.
Defensive end Mike Danna (pectoral), who missed the last two games, is also out for Monday.
Running back Kareem Hunt (quad) was upgraded to a full participant after being limited on Thursday and is good to go for the game.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) appeared on the report but was a full participant all week, as were cornerback Trent McDuffie (knee), defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (triceps) and linebacker Drue Tranquill (chest). All four players are good to go.
Nnadi has remained on the injury report since the start of the season. Hunt was listed last week due to a hip injury. This week, it is his quad.
For the Buccaneers, wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) did not practice. He has been declared out for the game. So has defensive lineman Greg Gaines and long snapper Evan Deckers.
Running back Bucky Irving (toe) and wide receiver Sterling Shepard (hamstring) were both upgraded to limited practice on Saturday after being held out for two days. Both are questionable for the game in Kansas City — as is wideout Jalen McMillan (hamstring) — who was added to the report on Saturday.
Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) was downgraded to did not practice after being limited on Friday, while linebacker Lavonte David (ankle/chest) was upgraded to full participation after being held out all week. Both are questionable for Monday’s game.
