Caitlin Clark is staying busy during her first WNBA offseason. She recently met the new coach of the Indiana Fever, Stephanie White, attended multiple nights of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” and has been working on her golf game, even getting a hole-in-one. But that’s not all.
The WNBA Rookie of the Year will be appearing with late night icon David Letterman at Ball State University on Monday, Dec. 2, as announced by the university. Clark’s appearance is part of the “David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series,” which Letterman started in 2007 to bring in prominent figures from various backgrounds for public talks.
It’s fitting that Letterman is featuring the WNBA standout at the Indiana university, given that Clark is the star player for the Fever. She set multiple league records in her debut season, including rookie records for most points scored (769), most three-pointers made (122), and most assists (337), which also set a WNBA single-season record.
This won’t be their first encounter, as Letterman watched Clark in action at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in August and they met after the game.
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for this event at a later date.
