During Johnson’s transition from Sprayberry High School to college basketball, White was leading Vanderbilt. When Johnson was choosing her college, White had moved on but eventually returned to coaching in 2023 with the Connecticut Sun. Johnson admitted she would have considered Vanderbilt if White had still been there.
“I try to go where I like the people and she seemed like a good coach,” added LSU #4 on Best of Both Worlds with Flau’jae. Although she ended up at LSU, Johnson still speaks highly of White and her coaching abilities, showing excitement for White’s leadership at the Indiana Fever.
Johnson praised White’s addition to the Fever, saying, “I really think that is a good addition. I really believe that. And she was a good, she seemed like a good coach.
