Everything You Need to Know Ahead of the 2025 WNBA Draft Lottery

The Chicago Sky are participating in the 2025 WNBA Draft Lottery on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. CST/5 p.m. EST. The event will be aired on ESPN.
Chicago is joined by the Los Angeles Sparks, Washington Mystics, and Dallas Wings in the 24th annual WNBA Draft Lottery.
The Sky have a 22.7% chance of securing the top pick. However, due to a trade in February 2023, the Wings have the option to swap draft picks with the Sky if Chicago’s pick ends up higher after the drawing. Dallas also has a 22.7% chance of obtaining the top pick.
The odds for all lottery teams and their two-year cumulative records are as follows:
Los Angeles Sparks: 44.2% (25-55) Dallas Wings: 22.7% (31-49) Chicago Sky: 22.7% (31-49) Washington Mystics: 10.8% (33-47)
The selection order for the draft picks is determined by a lottery system based on the teams’ records over the past two years, where the team with the lowest record receives the highest pick.
The Chicago Sky’s draft history includes multiple top picks, with players such as Kamilla Cardoso (2024), Diamond DeShields (2018), and Elena Delle Donne (2013) being notable selections.
