Is it possible for Mike Tyson to defeat Jake Paul?
The 58-year-old will be taking on the YouTuber turned boxer in the early hours of Saturday morning (UK time) at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The main event and undercard will be broadcast live on Netflix in front of a large worldwide audience.
After a 19-year hiatus from professional boxing, Tyson will be putting on the gloves once again. Throughout his 56-fight career, he managed to secure the undisputed heavyweight championship.
The Bet365 betting markets will be buzzing leading up to the main event, with Tyson considered the underdog (33/20). However, there is significant support for him in the ‘to win fight’ market, with 58% of bets favoring Tyson compared to 42% for Paul.
In the ‘fight outcome’ market, 37% of bets are backing Tyson to win by KO/TKO/DQ.
Known for his early knockouts, Tyson only went the distance six times. In the Bet365 ‘fight to go the distance’ market, a majority of 65% believe that Tyson vs. Paul will last the full eight-two minute rounds.
According to Bet365’s trading expert Steve Freeth, “The early activity suggests that this fight will be highly anticipated. Jake Paul’s odds are lengthening as more people believe that Mike Tyson can reclaim his former glory. There has been noticeable interest in Tyson winning in Round 1 and Round 2, indicating a preference for an early victory. As of now, we are leaning towards Jake Paul.”
