Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron, guards for Notre Dame, are expected to join the WNBA after this season. The big question now is where they will be picked in the draft.
The WNBA draft lottery is set for Sunday, with the Washington Mystics, Los Angeles Sparks, Dallas Wings, and Chicago Sky participating. According to projections, Miles and Citron have a chance to be selected in the top four picks.
Tankathon predicts that Miles and Citron will go third and fourth, which would be a major achievement for the Irish. ESPN, however, is less optimistic, with Miles projected at fourth and Citron as the final pick in the first round. Previously, ESPN had Miles at fifth and Citron at 11th.
But for now, both players are focused on bringing the Irish a national championship. With the support of Hannah Hidalgo and incoming freshman Kate Koval, the journey will be a bit smoother.
