Manchester United’s right flank has been a problem position for some time now. Despite Erik ten Hag’s hopes that Antony’s arrival would solve the issue, the Brazilian has not performed well in red.
It appears that he will be moved on under Ruben Amorim. With Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho preferring the left flank, Amad Diallo remains as the only suitable option on the right.
It is evident that another right-sided player is needed, and according to Calciomercato, the Red Devils are monitoring Christian Pulisic of AC Milan.
Pulisic has been in sensational form, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 15 games this season, and has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Pulisic impresses
The 26-year-old has thrived in Serie A, scoring 15 goals in the previous season and providing 11 assists. However, he has unfinished business in the Premier League after a disappointing spell at Chelsea.
While Liverpool and West Ham United are also interested, AC Milan view the US international as “irreplaceable” and “unsellable.”
They would only consider selling him if a bid of over €60 million is made, which would result in a significant profit on their initial investment.
“The current Milan team continues to have an American presence, with Christian Pulisic being a key player… His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed.
United interested in Pulisic
“Interest is also coming from the Premier League. Pulisic is particularly liked by Liverpool, and his future may be tied to Federico Chiesa’s potential return to Serie A (with Milan and Inter interested).
“Manchester United and West Ham, coached by Amorim and Lopetegui, are also interested in signing a top-level player to improve their league position and secure a Champions League spot.”
AC Milan acquired Pulisic for just €21 million last summer, with his contract running until 2027. Despite his youth and familiarity with the English game, Amorim’s tactical system may not require traditional wingers or attacking midfielders, making a move for Pulisic currently unnecessary.
