Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is thriving in multiple aspects of her life right now. She is gearing up to participate in a new women’s startup basketball league this winter, has landed a fitting endorsement deal with The Hershey Company’s “Reese’s” candy, and hosts a weekly podcast under her name.
Having broken numerous rebounding records during her remarkable rookie season in the WNBA, Reese has quietly established her own unique brand off the court, and it seems to be yielding substantial returns.
Recently, she appeared at ComplexCon in Las Vegas where she engaged in a conversation with panelist Speedy Morman, discussing her journey to the W and her ambitious career aspirations. During the discussion on finances, Morman mentioned reports estimating Reese’s net worth to be around $2 million, which Reese disputed.
Reese disagreed with the figure presented, indicating that it was significantly lower than her actual net worth, though she did not disclose the precise amount. She emphasized that she is currently in a comfortable financial position.
When Morman inquired about the accuracy of the estimation, Reese affirmed her disagreement with a simple “Yeah.”
She went on to mention that not only is financial stability a luxury for her but for everyone within her circle, expressing her ability to support her family and provide for their needs. Reese highlighted the importance of having a strong support network.
These statements from Reese follow her previous revelation that her rent in Chicago exceeded her WNBA salary. In her rookie year, she earned $73,439 while paying $8,000 monthly in rent, totaling $96,000 annually.
Reese candidly remarked, “I just hope y’all know, the WNBA doesn’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even think that pays one of my bills.”
In the upcoming months, Reese will receive a six-figure income from Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 women’s basketball league launching in January, in addition to her other business ventures during the offseason.
