CORTLAND, NY – The Buffalo State women’s soccer team suffered a crushing lost at the hands of the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons 7-0.

Eve DiCarlo (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) led the Bengals with three shots, with two shots on goal.
Addy Williams (Grapevine, TX/Grapevine) made a career best, 13 saves in net, in 72 minutes of play. Sam Kaufman (Cheektowaga, NY/West Seneca East) was credited with two saves in net, in 17 minutes of play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Red Dragons jumped out early with a 2-0 lead in the first 12 minutes of action. As things continued, the Red Dragons would tally two more goals and take a commanding 4-0 lead heading into halftime.
As halftime finished and the second half of play began, the Bengals defense would continue facing a tough battle as the Red Dragons would score in the 49th minute and 53rd minute of play. The Bengals would continue their fight in this uphill battle, but the Red Dragons were too much, notching a goal in the 76th minute and taking a 7-0 victory.
The Bengals were outshot in this battle, 33 to 4, with the Bengals 3 shots on goal to the Lakers 22.
FOR THE FOES
Katie Cosenza was credited with a four-point day, tallying two goals and two assists, while Tyla Vuotto had two goals as well.
Kristen Spendal, Mia Hosbach and Nicole Blazo completed a full-game shutout.
