Conor McGregor’s legal troubles have resulted in him losing a business opportunity.
After being found liable for a 2018 sexual assault, McGregor has been ordered to pay over $250,000 in damages to the victim, Nikita Hand. The High Court jury in Dublin ruled in favor of Hand, who suffered injuries as a result of the incident.
Despite McGregor’s denial of the claims, IO Interactive, a video game developer, has announced the removal of all McGregor content from its Hitman: World of Assassination release.

IO Interactive stated, “In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, we have decided to stop working with him immediately. We consider this matter very seriously and will remove all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our platforms starting today.”
In the game, McGregor’s character, The Disruptor, will no longer be featured as a target for the protagonist, Agent 47.

As one of the most successful athletes in combat sports, McGregor has various sponsorships and business relationships tied to his name, such as UFC and a stake in BKFC. McGregor has been inactive in fighting since sustaining a leg injury in a match against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
