The New York Giants (2-9) will be facing off against the Dallas Cowboys (4-7) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Thursday evening for a Thanksgiving Day matchup in Week 13.
Here at Giants Wire, we have the chance to imagine taking players from the Cowboys’ roster to potentially improve the depth and talent of the Big Blue team, just like we did earlier this season.
While cornerback Trevon Biggs was our previous choice, he has not performed as well lately and is not available this time. Other options like wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, edge rusher Micah Parsons, and linebacker Eric Kendricks would be nice additions but are more of a want than a necessity at the moment.
Considering the thin roster of both teams, guard Tyler Smith stands out as a potential upgrade over Jon Runyan Jr. and Greg Van Roten. Smith has only allowed two QB hits and one sack in over 462 pass-block snaps this season, compared to Van Roten’s four QB hits and 4.0 sacks, and Runyan’s three QB hits and one sack with 25 total pressures.
At just 23 years old, Smith still has room to grow and could help reinforce the interior for the Giants, taking some pressure off struggling second-year center John Michael Schmitz.
Giants fans, do you agree with picking Tyler Smith or would you choose a different player from the Dallas Cowboys’ roster?
