Aces G Kelsey Plum will not participate in the new 3-on-3 basketball league Unrivaled. Plum announced on social media that she wants to prioritize taking more time for herself during the offseason. The Unrivaled league is set to begin its season on Jan. 17 and will run through March, with all games taking place in Miami. Plum was originally selected for the roster of the Laces, one of the league’s six teams (AP, 11/29). Plum’s decision now leaves the league three players short of filling out the six full rosters. Fever G Caitlin Clark also declined an invitation to participate, even after being offered a reported seven-figure salary (ESPN.com, 11/28). In other news, Avenue Sports Fund is making an investment in Unrivaled (Avenue Sports).
