Jrue Holiday on Zion Williamson: If he played more defense, he would elevate his game

“Having him as a rookie was amazing; that’s just how talented he was. Despite the weight gain, I’ve seen him at 280, 290 and still performing above the rim,” said Holiday as he reminisced about coaching Williamson.

Holiday then shared how he would guide Williamson if given the opportunity, stating, “I’d focus on improving his defense. It’s not a criticism of his current skills; rather, I believe enhancing his defensive abilities would truly showcase his talent and elevate his overall game. Offensively, he’s already impressive. He knows how to execute plays and draw fouls. However, challenging himself defensively and setting an example for his teammates could lead to even greater success.”
