With the AFC West on the line, the (11-1) Kansas City Chiefs will will host the (8-4) Los Angeles Chargers on this weekend’s “Sunday Night Football.”
But Week 14 of the NFL season kicks off with an important NFC North showdown: the (11-1) Detroit Lions hosting the (9-3) Green Bay Packers from Ford Field for “Thursday Night Football.” Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) on Amazon Prime, WGBA (NBC/26-Green Bay), WITI (FOX/6-Milwaukee), WJBK (FOX/2-Detroit) and Twitch (computers, mobile devices only).
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Lions are favored by 3.5 points.
When these teams played in Week 9, Detroit beat Green Bay 24-14. But since then, the Packers have recorded a 20-19 win against the Chicago Bears, a 38-10 romp over the San Francisco 49ers and a 30-17 victory against the Miami Dolphins.
Meanwhile, the Lions continue to lead the NFC, recording four blowouts among 10 straight wins. But against the Houston Texans in Week 10, they had to fight back from a 23-7 halftime deficit to claim the 26-23 win — and in Week 13, needed to hold off a late two-touchdown surge to notch a 23-20 victory against the Bears.
The Lions have been great this season — but I smell a 24-20 upset in this division game.
