Some notes
The Chiefs had no change to their injury report from Tuesday to Wednesday. The most important part of that is that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) was a full participant for the second day in a row, a good sign for his chances to start against the Texans on Saturday. It is worth noting that Kansas City has conducted two light practices to start the week.

Both safety Chamarri Conner (concussion) and left tackle D.J. Humphries were again out of practice. Given the short week, it’s unlikely Conner will make it through the protocol in time for this game.
Kansas City listed four other players on their injury report, but they were full participants: offensive linemen Creed Humphrey (ankle) and Jawaan Taylor (knee), kicker Harrison Butker (left knee) and wide receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder). Brown would need to be activated from the Reserve/Injured list to play in the game.
The Texans had two changes on their injury report from Tuesday to Wednesday: linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips (foot) was upgraded to a limited participant and quarterback Davis Mills (illness) was upgraded to a full participant.
The Texans again listed six players out of practice on Wednesday, including center Juice Scruggs (foot) and defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi (ankle). Scruggs missed the Texans last game against the Miami Dolphins due to injury, and Fatukasi played just six snaps before exiting the matchup.
