Caitlin Clark’s rivalry with Angel Reese has been a widely discussed topic in women’s basketball in recent years.
The rivalry began in college and has carried over to the WNBA. Clark has claimed that the rivalry has been blown out of proportion and has even stated that her issues with Reese were “fabricated.”
“I don’t understand it at all,” Clark stated, as reported by TIME.com. “We’re not close friends, but we have a mutual respect for each other. Yes, we’ve had intense battles, but we’ve never directly faced each other on the court.”
“The focus has always been on this manufactured controversy, and it has persisted to this day,” Clark added.
