Sergio Pérez has been released from Red Bull’s Formula 1 team following a challenging season where he finished a disappointing eighth in the driver’s standings, ultimately leaving Red Bull in third place in the constructor standings.
Rumors suggest that Liam Lawson will step in to take over the second spot, putting an end to speculation about who will be racing alongside reigning champion Max Verstappen.
In response to the news, Verstappen showed his class by sending Pérez a sweet message on Wednesday: “It’s been an absolute pleasure driving alongside you. We’ve had some amazing moments together that I’ll always remember. Thank you, Checo!”
