Many WNBA fans were unimpressed with behind-the-scenes footage of Angel Reese twerking with recent podcast guest Sexyy Red. Social media buzzed with opinions on the behavior of the Chicago Sky forward.
On last Thursday’s episode of the Unapologetically Angel podcast, Sexyy Red appeared as a guest and was asked by Reese to teach her how to twerk. A video of this moment went viral on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, prompting fans to share their thoughts.
“Angel Reese is cooked. Shaq needs an apology too. Sexyy Red didn’t even have to ‘try’ to get this b***h to act like that thot,” one fan commented.
“Angel Reese’s time is up, she needs to go away already,” another user expressed.
One fan criticized Reese’s dancing, stating, “Angel Reese looks like an alien.”
“I prefer the Angel Reese ‘highlight’ video,” another user wrote.
“I’m tired of seeing black female rappers, after a few talks… they start twerking… it’s boring now… no substance, nothing,” a fed-up fan emphasized.
“Corny linking up with corny,” another fan remarked.
“Both tr**h,” another follower bluntly stated.
Unapologetically Angel was launched after a successful rookie season for Reese. The weekly podcast is produced by Shaquille O’Neal’s The Big Podcast network at Playmaker HQ, featuring unfiltered conversations between Reese and her guests on various topics.
Angel Reese gearing up for the inaugural season of Unrivaled basketball league
Angel Reese is currently in intense training to prepare for her participation in the inaugural season of the 3-on-3 Unrivaled Basketball League, set to start next month in Miami, Florida.
The 22-year-old Chicago Sky All-Star is one of 36 WNBA players scheduled to compete in the new league created by fellow WNBA stars Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty) and Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx).
She is part of the Rose Basketball Club alongside players like Chelsea Gray (Las Vegas Aces), Kahleah Copper (Phoenix Mercury), Brittney Sykes (Washington Mystics), Lexie Hull (Indiana Fever), and Azura Stevens (LA Sparks).
Reese expressed excitement about playing in Unrivaled, mentioning the opportunity to earn good money during the WNBA offseason without having to go overseas, as many players have done in previous years. She looks forward to honing her skills alongside some of the league’s best players.
Unrivaled’s inaugural season will run from Jan. 17 to March 17, with six competing teams and all games broadcast on TNT Sports.
