Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain left-back Nuno Mendes is interested in a potential move to Manchester United in the near future.
United are in need of a left-sided full-back for Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system and Mendes is one of the options being considered.
Mendes has two years left on his current contract with PSG, which is set to expire in 2026. Talks for a contract extension have not been successful, sparking interest from other clubs, including United.
United have reached out to Mendes’ agent to explore the possibility of a deal.
According to CaughtOffside, Mendes is pleased with United’s interest and is not planning to sign a new deal with PSG, who are expected to let him go for €70m in the summer.
Mendes has played in 98 matches for PSG, scoring five goals and providing 13 assists. He has been a key player this season, featuring in 15 matches, including all Champions League fixtures.
Amorim, who coached Mendes at Sporting Lisbon, is aware of his abilities as a left wing-back.
Other left-back options for United include Alphonso Davies, Milos Kerkez, Antonee Robinson, Alvaro Fernandez, Miguel Gutierrez, and Rayan Ait-Nouri.
