Despite all her achievements, Caitlin Clark still faces criticism.
Entering the WNBA amid scrutiny, Clark silenced her doubters with an impressive rookie season playing for the Indiana Fever. With a new seasoned coach in Stephanie White and a team fresh off a playoff appearance, she is poised for further success.
Despite her rise in women’s basketball, former NBA player Jeff Teague believes Clark would not stand a chance against G-league player Bronny James.
Teague, coming off a championship win with the Milwaukee Bucks, claims that Clark would be defeated by James in a one-on-one matchup.
Teague expressed his opinion on the Club 520 podcast, suggesting that Clark would struggle against James due to his athleticism and skills, dismissing her abilities based on gender.
He went on to say that Clark might only be able to beat high school players.
Teague’s co-hosts disagreed, suggesting that Clark could compete against Division I college players, but Teague remained firm in his stance.
Clark, set to turn 23 in January, continues to add to her list of accolades, including WNBA Rookie of the Year and NCAA Division I scoring title, with her Iowa jersey set to be retired in February.
