Former Iowa Hawkeyes standout Kate Martin quickly became a beloved player in the WNBA.
During her rookie season with the Las Vegas Aces, Martin expanded her fanbase from Iowa. Now, being selected by the Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA Expansion Draft gives her a chance to shine with the league’s newest franchise.
Known for her clutch three-pointers, particularly from the corner, Martin earned the nickname “Money Martin” for her shooting prowess.
However, she isn’t the only basketball player with the last name “Martin” trying to claim the “Money” title, as some WNBA fans found out on Christmas Day.
