CSC Academic All-America Release
GREENWOOD, Ind. – North Florida women’s soccer’s Zara Siassi received another postseason accolade by being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third-Team. This was announced by the national organization on Wednesday, Dec. 11.Â
Siassi is the first player in program history to receive CSC Academic All-American honors, after previously being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American Fourth-Team on Dec. 6. She also made the CSC Academic All-District Team on Nov. 19.Â
She is one of only seven student-athletes from mid-major schools nominated for the All-America team and one of two Atlantic Sun student-athletes honored, along with Lipscomb forward Kiara Pralle.Â
“Receiving recognition for success both on the field and in the classroom is the ultimate honor for a student-athlete,” said head coach Eric Faulconer. “Zara has achieved a lot during her time at UNF and this honor is a testament to her hard work and dedication. It’s very fitting that Zara is the first ever CSC Academic All-America selection in UNF women’s soccer program history. She truly is remarkable in every way.”Â
Out of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division I women’s soccer teams, 14 have a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The first team’s 12 members have an average GPA of 3.93, with the entire Division I team holding a collective average GPA of 3.92.
Siassi was recognized for her performances on the field and in the classroom in 2024, being named to the All-ASUN First-Team and ASUN Defensive Player of the Year. She also received Academic All-ASUN selections and set the all-time program record for games started with 82 career starts. Siassi also broke the program record for games played and started in the Division I era.
