Aliyah Boston’s offseason workout should have Fever fans excited
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Indiana Fever shared a video showcasing star forward Aliyah Boston’s workout with the team’s new player development coach Keith Porter, and it’s definitely worth watching.

Porter, who previously worked as a player development coach for the Connecticut Sun, guided Boston through a challenging post-player workout session that included midrange jumpers, post moves, pick-and-rolls, and footwork drills in various game scenarios.

Despite the WNBA season being five months away, the highly regarded development coach spent a significant amount of time working with the two-time All-Star at Worcester Academy, where Boston attended high school and earned McDonald’s All-American honors.

At just 23 years old, Boston is already considered one of the top two-way forwards in the WNBA. She has impressive stats from her two seasons in the league, earning her the title of Rookie of the Year in 2023 and securing another All-Star selection in 2024.

Her professional success follows a stellar college career that included winning an NCAA championship in 2022 and being named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year twice while playing for South Carolina.

Porter expressed both excitement and nervousness about his move to Indiana after working in Connecticut, recognizing the unique opportunity to train a player of Boston’s caliber and potential impact in women’s sports.

Boston’s workout video is part of a series the Fever have been sharing on social media, which also includes Caitlin Clark’s training session with Stephanie White and other coaching staff members at the team’s practice facility in Indiana.

Fever fans can take comfort in knowing that their young stars are dedicated to improving during the offseason, especially after leading the team to its first playoff appearance in years. With another year of experience and the addition of a new head coach, the franchise is poised for continued growth.

In the meantime, fans can stay engaged with the team by following their behind-the-scenes offseason workout footage, offering a glimpse into the preparation happening before the upcoming WNBA season.
