Fans online reacted to Kate Martin’s Unrivaled team, Laces BC’s achievement. The basketball club surpassed 12,000 followers on Instagram and became the most-followed team on the social media site in the 3×3 basketball league, co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.
One fan posted a screenshot of Laces BC’s Instagram handle on X, formerly Twitter. Several fans were enthralled to receive the news and expressed their opinion in their posts. One fan listed Martin as the reason behind the massive fan following of the team.

Other fans followed suit and expressed their thoughts:

After the Laces BC became the most followed team, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese, who plays for the Rose BC, called out her massive fan base to support her Unrivaled team.
“I’m hearing that RoseBC don’t have the most followers on IG? Yall not real fans frl😭 GO FOLLOW NOW!” Reese tweeted.
Reese is one of the most followed WNBA players in the world right now. She had over four million followers on Instagram before deactivating it on the first day of 2025. Right now, she has 678,000 followers on X, but Rose BC’s Instagram handle has only 17.5K followers.
Martin will be teaming up with Jackie Young, Alyssa Thomas, Stefanie Dolson, Kayla McBride, and Tiffany Hayes to take on the Phanton BC on Jan. 18. On the other hand, Reese will be teaming up with Chelsea Geay, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Cooper, Lexie Hull, and Azura Stevens to take on the Vinyl BC on Jan. 17.
Kate Martin shares picture in Laces BC jersey with her New Year ambitions
Kate “Money” Martin shared a photo donning the Laces BC’s jersey on her latest Instagram post. She shared her New Year ambition with her 422,000 followers in the caption.
“I’d go everywhere with these folks, including into year ‘25 #newyearswag,” Martin wrote.
The first picture on the post featured the Valkyries player standing on a stage with her arms crossed while dressed in the Laces BC’s gear. The rest of the photos featured a portrait of Martin with her girlfriend and other moments of her life.
