Fired-Up Fans Corner WNBA as Brittney Griner & Cameron Brink Roll Out Unrivaled’s Red Carpet for Coco Gauff
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The countdown for Unrivaled’s debut has officially begun! With just 10 days left until this groundbreaking 3-on-3 basketball league tips off, the excitement is already off the charts. And why wouldn’t it be? We’re talking about star players showcasing their talent while raking in six-figure paychecks on the court. But here’s the kicker—it’s not just the players winning big. Investors are cashing in too, and the buzz keeps growing.

One name stealing the spotlight is none other than tennis superstar Coco Gauff. The tennis superstar just joined Unrivaled as an investor, and her announcement on Instagram sent fans and athletes into a frenzy.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Unrivaled as an investor,” Gauff said in a press release. “Basketball is one of my favorite sports, and the chance to support a league that’s redefining the game is exciting. I look forward to being part of this movement and continuing to help elevate women’s sports to new heights.”

And guess who’s cheering her on? WNBA icons Brittney Griner and Cameron Brink!

They couldn’t resist jumping into the conversation. Griner hyped it up with an Instagram story, captioned, “Love this!” while Brink added an enthusiastic “Wahoo!” in the comments. Talk about rolling out the red carpet for Gauff!

Fans didn’t hold back either.

Fans erupt as Unrivaled’s new investor steals the spotlight

As soon as the news broke, social media lit up. One fan summed it up perfectly: “Greatness sees greatness, iktr.” The energy is unreal, and it’s all pointing toward Unrivaled’s big debut on January 17 in Miami, Florida. Another added, “Building an empire!”

So, what makes Unrivaled different? Unlike the WNBA, this league features six teams of six players, an eight-week season, and a one-on-one tournament running, alongside the regular games. It’s fresh. It’s fast, and fans love the vibe. “At this rate, Unrivaled should buy out the WNBA since they could probably run it better,” joked one spectator on X.

The league’s financial backing is just as impressive as its format. With $35 million raised, Unrivaled has heavy hitters like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Michael Phelps, and Dawn Staley on board. Even Hollywood stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis joined the party. And now, Coco Gauff adds her name to the list of trailblazers pushing this league to new heights.

“Y’all tag Cathy for some quick lessons,” penned a spectator. “Well done Coco bean!!!” added another User.

Meanwhile, Cameron Brink, a wildcard player for the Lunar Owls, is gearing up for a comeback after an ACL injury. She may not be hitting the court just yet, but her presence alone brings star power to a team already stacked with talent like Napheesa Collier and Skylar Diggins-Smith.

In a recent interview, Brink shared, “I feel really good… I’m very lucky, and there haven’t been many bumps in the road,” giving fans hope for her return later this year.

With Gauff’s investment and support from legends like Griner and Brink, Unrivaled isn’t just a new league—it’s a movement. “Period coco” added another user. As the January 17 tip-off approaches, all eyes are on Miami for what promises to be an unforgettable debut. Are you ready for the revolution?
