Aston Martin has made changes to its senior management team, with Andy Cowell taking on the role of team principal.
To streamline leadership and move towards a flatter structure, Cowell, formerly of Mercedes engine division, is now serving as CEO and Team Principal. The Aerodynamics, Engineering, and Performance Departments have been reorganized into separate trackside and AMR Technology Campus-based teams, both reporting to Cowell.
Mike Krack will lead the trackside team as Chief Trackside Officer, focusing on maximizing car performance during races. Enrico Cardile has been appointed as the Chief Technical Officer of the AMR Technology Campus-based team, overseeing the development of new race cars.
Tom McCullough will continue in a leadership role, supporting the team’s expansion into different racing categories. With the team transitioning to a full works team in 2026, Cowell expressed optimism about their future prospects.
He praised the team’s dedication and hard work, stating that the organizational changes are part of their long-term plans for success. The mention of a certain individual, Mr. Newey, adds intrigue to their future endeavors.
