Reports suggest that Manchester United flop Antony has attracted interest from multiple clubs, including West Ham United.
The decision by Ruben Amorim to exclude Marcus Rashford from the matchday squad for the FA Cup match against Arsenal has once again garnered attention. It seems likely that Rashford will be leaving Old Trafford this month, as he has not played for nearly a month.
Antony, another United winger, has struggled for playing time under Amorim, despite his impressive form over the past 18 months.
Although Antony was named in the matchday squad on Sunday, he remained on the bench during his team’s victory over Arsenal.
The 24-year-old has not started a Premier League game this season and has scored just one goal across all competitions.
Nevertheless, his potential has caught the eye of several clubs.
According to Fichajes, United have approved Antony’s departure on loan due to his inability to secure a spot in Amorim’s starting lineup.
West Ham United, Real Betis, and Olympique de Marseille have all expressed interest in signing the Brazilian forward.
West Ham are reportedly the first club to approach United about Antony, as they seek to strengthen their attacking options under new manager Graham Potter.
West Ham reportedly believe that Antony, who impressed with his dribbling and creativity at Ajax, would be a good fit for Potter’s system.
Betis have been pursuing the player since the summer, while Marseille are also keen on adding him to their squad, believing he could make an impact in Ligue 1.
United reportedly hope that a change of environment will help Antony regain his confidence and form, as he has struggled to live up to expectations since joining from Ajax. He is under contract at Old Trafford until June 2027.
