Taylor Swift was spotted enjoying a Kansas City Chiefs game from her suite this weekend, joined by WNBA star Caitlin Clark. The pop sensation and the Indiana Fever guard – a big Chiefs fan who also attended multiple Swift’s Eras Tour concerts – seemed to have a great time together, according to body language expert Judi James.
“Taylor is clearly using the kind of body language signals here that will send off bonds of (new) friendship,” James told Mirror US Sports. “She appears to be adopting a hosting approach to Caitlin and instigating most of the conversation, and she does so in a way that will make Caitlin look and feel like a friend.
“The two women sit in mirrored poses here, both hunched forward in their seats to enjoy the game in an expression of anticipation. Taylor uses eye contact and face-checking signals on Caitlin, and when she talks to her, the leaning-in and the placing of her hand over her mouth in a shield looks intended to suggest they are having a fun, private conversation together.”
“The hand-shield gesture is partly practical if Taylor wants to avoid any lip-reading, but it also takes a conversation to a rather giggly, youthful friendship level as well.”
James observed that Caitlin Clark appeared somewhat in awe during her encounter with Taylor Swift. “Caitlin looks less confident and more polite here, with less use of eye contact, suggesting she might feel a little shy in Taylor’s presence,” the expert said.
“Although it seems an animated Taylor is doing everything to make her feel more relaxed here.”
This marked the first public sighting of Swift and Clark together. Their prior acquaintance remains unclear, but Kelce disclosed last year that the WNBA star had run into him at one of Swift’s concerts.
Clark has openly expressed her admiration for the pop icon, recounting to Kelce on his ‘New Heights’ podcast recently how she has also become a conduit for her mother’s fandom. “My mom was begging me to take her,” the WNBA sensation said.

“She was like, ‘I gotta go, everybody is talking about it.’ I’m like, ‘OK, OK,’ I turned my mom into a full Swiftie. Two of my cousins were there. Good time!”
