Golden State Valkyries star Kate Martin’s girlfriend, Claire Gransee, was seen attending an Unrivaled game on Monday. The Boston native shared an Instagram story where she was seen having a good time while Martin excelled on the court for the Laces BC in their second match of the newly founded league.
Reposting a story first shared by make-up artist Dani Uke, Claire was seen sipping some white wine from a plastic cup as Uke captioned the story with three words:
“Just Twoo Girlsss,” she wrote, adding an emoji and tagging her location in Miami, Florida.
Claire later shared the same story on Instagram, adding her own caption that summed up their evening in two words:
“Yapping & Wine-ing,” she remarked.
The duo attended an Unrivaled game between Laces BC and Mist BC, where Kate Martin’s team secured a comfortable victory on Monday night. They defeated Breanna Stewart’s team with a score of 63-43, marking the Laces’ second consecutive win while the Mist remain winless in two games.
Kate Martin finished the game with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in her 10 minutes on the court. However, Kayla McBride was the star of the show for the Laces as she dropped 21 points and collected 7 boards during her 15-minute cameo.
Kate Martin’s standout performances in Unrivaled as she Prepares to join WNBA’s newest team
Kate Martin has had a great start in the new “Unrivaled” 3×3 league which began on Jan. 17. The former Las Vegas Aces star has been an influential figure off the bench for the Laces as they are one of three teams with unbeaten records in the league.
So far, Martin has played 18 minutes of basketball, with her debut lasting 8 minutes and her most recent appearance earning her 10 minutes of playtime. During this stint, she has averaged 11 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists per game.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes standout has been putting up impressive numbers for her new team as she prepares to join the Golden State Valkyries for the 2025 WNBA season. Selected by the Bay Area team as their pick from the Las Vegas Aces, Martin will reunite with coach Nattalie Nakase in San Francisco, as they aim to establish an identity for the newly registered team.
Martin and the Laces will next face the Vinyl BC, who are also unbeaten in the league so far. Led by Aliyah Boston, a former teammate of Caitlin Clark on the Fever, this matchup promises to be an exciting one as the inaugural season of the Unrivaled League continues to unfold.
