The ITA Announces Additional Investment Into Upcoming Team Indoor Championships

Tempe, AZ – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association “ITA” is pleased to announce today several enhancements coming to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships that will aim to improve the student-athlete and fan experiences across all championships.

As some of the premiere events on the college tennis calendar across the Division I, II, III, and NAIA levels of play, the ITA National Team Indoor Championships were established in 1973 at the Division I men’s level and have since expanded to include men’s and women’s events across four levels of our sport.

In 2025, the ITA, in partnership with host site schools, have invested heavily across the eight championships and has strategically partnered with companies who will work alongside the ITA to make these championships an even better experience for all stakeholders.

Beginning with live streaming and broadcasts, there has been significant increased investment by the ITA to improve the viewing experience of the Team Indoor Championship for fans watching from home.

This includes having an increased level of production for the ITA Division I Men’s and Women’s National Team Indoor Championship semifinals and finals. Bringing in additional cameras and camera operators for three of the championships biggest matches will ensure fans can experience the action closer than ever before.

Additionally, this investment includes hardware to improve live streaming capabilities at many of our Division II, III, and NAIA Championships. This investment ensures that the ITA can be flexible with its live streaming capabilities from site-to-site, regardless of where these championships will be hosted in future years.

Another new addition to the Team Indoor Championships this year includes the collaboration with tennis influencers and content creators to raise the digital profile of the championships and the student-athletes competing in these events. This includes the likes of Coach Conor Casey who has built an impressive following across several social media platforms around his unique perspectives and storytelling ability around the sport of tennis. As a former college tennis player himself, Conor will utilize his platform to bring even more attention to some of the biggest events of the year.

Finally, alongside PlayReplay, the ITA Division I Men’s and Women’s National Team Indoor Championships will be utilizing electronic line calling across all matches for the first time in the event’s history.

In part of a pilot program that began this past fall, all four Division I host sites will be equipped with the PlayReplay system. The Team Indoor Championships will be the third and fourth pilot between the ITA and PlayReplay with the previous two installments being held at the 2024 ITA Men’s All-American Championships as well as the 2024 ITA Women’s West Sectional Championship.

We encourage all fans to look out for these enhancements over the next four weekends and enjoy their contributions to the student-athlete and fan experiences. For more information about the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, please visit the ITA Events Calendar to see a breakdown of dates, locations, and links to each individual event page.
